Account and Data Deletion
Odd Physics keeps your game on our servers from the first time you play: under your linked Google Play Games account, or, if you have not linked one, under an account for that installation of the application (a guest account). You may request the deletion of your account and its associated data at any time, whether or not the application is still installed.
Option 1: Delete within the application
- Open Odd Physics and tap your profile picture at the top of the Home screen to open Settings.
- Under Account, select Google Play Games.
- Select Delete account (or, if you have not linked an account, Delete my data), then confirm by holding Hold to delete for three seconds.
The game on your device is erased at once, and your account is withdrawn at once: it no longer appears on any leaderboard and can no longer be used from any device. It is kept for 14 days so that an accidental deletion can be undone, and then erased as described below. To undo it, open the game within those 14 days and load your account again: with the same Google Play Games account on any device, or, for a guest account, on the same device without having uninstalled the game. A guest account cannot be brought back after the game has been uninstalled or its data cleared.
Option 2: Request deletion by email (no application required)
- Send an email to parallaxarc.games@gmail.com with the subject line "Odd Physics account deletion request".
- Include the report code of a message sent from Settings › Help & feedback on your device (it proves the account is yours; your display name alone is not enough, as other players can see it), and your in-game display name.
- We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the account belongs to you. We will complete the deletion within 30 days of verification and confirm by email. Until then, you may ask us by email to cancel it.
Data that is deleted
- Your display name and display name history
- The link to your Google Play Games account and all registered devices
- Game progress, solutions and moves, scores, points, and league and leaderboard history
- Your hint and skip balance and its transaction history, Premium status, and rewarded-advertising records
- Your consent records, and the account and device identifiers held in our server logs
Data that is retained
- Transaction records (product, order identifier, date and refund status) are retained in anonymised form, with no link to your Google account, for the period required by accounting, tax and refund obligations.
- Server logs that contain no account or device identifier are deleted automatically within 180 days. IP address hashes are erased after 30 days.
- A record that a deletion request was received and completed or cancelled (the account's random identifier and dates only), retained to demonstrate compliance.
- Encrypted database backups are kept for up to 90 days to recover the service after a failure; erased data can remain in them until they expire, and erasures are applied again if a backup is ever restored.
Account deletion does not cancel purchases or give rise to a refund; refund requests should be made through Google Play. When you delete in the application, the progress on that device is erased too and the game starts again as for a new player. If you ask by email, progress on your devices stays until you uninstall the application or clear its data. Premium bought through Google Play stays with your Google account; the application restores it if you play again, once the deletion is complete (or at once if you load your account again within the 14 days). An account that has not been used for 24 months is deleted automatically in the same way.
To delete only certain data, or to obtain a copy of your data, please contact us by email. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
